Daisy (Edit) Lyrics

Her mama named her Daisy, got it from a magazine
Through the mountains in her white dress, she'd run chasin' me
Thought she was faster 'cause I told her so, even though it wasn't quite the truth
Well I know she's an angel even though she ain't got wings
'Cause my sweet Daisy loved the hell outta meThere in the back pew of a Sunday morning church
The preacher preachin' Gospel, well, that's when I gave her her first kiss
She told me so even though it wasn't quite the truth
Well I know she's an angel even though she ain't got wings
'Cause my sweet Daisy loved the hell outta meShe gave me her body, she gave me her soul, didn't ask for nothin'
She led me down to the river, said you need to be baptized
Held me under the moon light; Lord, I don't know why
She loved the hell outta meEight years later we got married, and the day her water broke
The doctor said there's complications, but I still had hope
She was gonna make it 'cause she told me so, even thought it wasn't quite the truth
Well I know she's an angel, and now she's got her wings
Yeah, my sweet Daisy loves the hell outta meShe gave me her body, she gave me her soul, didn't ask for nothin'
She led me down to the river, said you need to be baptized
Held me under the moon light; Lord, I don't know why

She loved the hell outta me, yeahI thought I'd name her Daisy, in her mama's memory
Through the mountains in her white dress, she runs chasin' me
Thinks she is faster 'cause I tell her so, even though it isn't quite the truth

Halfway to Hazard is the country duo, made up of Chad Warrix and David Tolliver, from Hazard, Kentucky. Though Warrix and Tolliver were from different towns in southeastern Kentucky, their band's origins are in Hazard. The name of their band comes from their hometowns, Hazard being the halfway point between their homes.

The H2H boys also host a benefit near their hometowns for a local charity, the Buckhorn Children's Center. The benefit, which is held in Crockettsville, Kentucky, is called the Halfway to Hazard Annual Charity Trail Ride. The Trail Ride actually consists of a concert on Saturday and a dirt bike/ATV ride through a trail system on Sunday. At the Second Annual Trail Ride, in 2009, Tim McGraw, Lee Brice, Dierks Bentley, Keith Anderson, and, of course, Halfway to Hazard were some of the performers for the concert on Saturday. Over $200,000 was raised by the more than 25,000 that attended.

As of 1/19/2010, it was announced David would be taking some personal time off from the duo and all performances/appearances were indefinitely postponed. It is not known what the future of H2H will be, though Chad assured fans on his Facebook page that he and David will reevaluate things in a few months and see where they stand. Read more on Last.fm.
