Devil's Road Lyrics

I got my posi-traction, I'm hell on wheels
I'm made of iron blood and steel, yeah
I'm always set for action, I'm shifting gears
I'm running faster than my fearsI'm leaving everything behind me
I'm on a race with destiny
I'm going where my dreams can find me
Somewhere I can be free, I can be freeI can see heaven, it's a long way to go
And I'm riding the devil's road
I can hear angels singing, lifting my soul
But I'm riding the devil's roadI'm hiring a locomotive, I'm right on track
I've come so far, I can't go back
I got my higher power, he come to me on the seventh hour
Never burn my ivory tower, now I have been set freeI'm leaving everything behind me
I'm on a race with destiny, yeah, yeah
I'm going where my dreams can find me
Somewhere I can be free, I can be freeI can see heaven, it's a long way to go
And I'm riding the devil's road
I can hear angels singing, lifting my soul

But I'm riding the devil's road
And I'm riding the devil's roadI can see heaven, it's a long way to go
And I'm riding the devil's road
I can hear angels singing, lifting my soul
But I'm riding the devil's roadYes I'm riding
And I'm riding the devil's road, ohh, riding
But I'm riding the devil's road

Hughes Turner Project (HTP) was a musical project formed in the 2001 by bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (formerly of Deep Purple, Trapeze and Black Sabbath) and vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (formerly of Deep Purple, Rainbow and Yngwie Malmsteen). Long time friends Glen Hughes and Joe Lynn Turner had first planned to release an album together in 1989, the two got together and wrote some demos, but nothing ended up being released from these sessions. In 2000 Hughes toured Japan with Turner, followed by joint appearances during the Voices of Classic Rock tour in 2001.
