Domesticated Lyrics

If you ever let me go,
I will run as far and right past the sun.
My eyes are drawn like curtains,
A reason long that I've been hurting.
(Stop looking for me, stop looking for me)
You'll never see me cry,
Not even when I die,
I don't have the time.
(Stop looking for me, stop looking for me)
I'm not done living in a world of experimenting,
Wanna make friends with the self destructing,
I'm not meant to be your domesticated girl
It's hard for you to look at me,
I'm something more than just your property.
Stealing all my attention,
You keep me from the world I'm missing.
(Stop looking for me, stop looking for me)

When will you realize,
That every single lie is all in your mind?
(Stop looking for me, stop looking for me)
I'm not done living in a world of experimenting,
Wanna make friends with the self destructing,
I'm not meant to be your domesticated girl.
Just untie the chains that break and bind me,
Give me all your prayers, give me all your blessings,
I'm not meant to be your domesticated girl.
I'm not done living in a world of experimenting,
Wanna make friends with the self destructing,
I'm not meant to be your domesticated girl.
Just untie the chains that break and bind me,
Give me all your prayers, give me all your blessings,
I'm not meant to be your domesticated girl.

Up until 2008 Dave Pezzner was virtually unknown to the electronic dance music community, aside from his works in the duo 'Jacob London' (Classic Music, Doubledown, U-Freqs). For 16 years he cut his chops with partner Bob Hansen, creating eccentric house and break beat rhythms often crossing the lines between bad-ass, funky and hilarious. In the winter of 2008, Pezzner took to his own studio to begin work on his first solo output composing songs that are more serious, with an abstract artistic sensibility.
