Don't Wanna Lose You Lyrics

You know it's taken me a long time, baby, to realize
How much you mean to me, I don't wanna lose youTimes are hard, my spirits are weak, oh yeah
Everything seems to be going wrong, outlook's bleak
You know I fooled around playing the field
That's when I found that your love was realNo, I haven't treated you so right
But I won't lose your love without a fightI'm gonna hold on to the love we have together
Hold on, don't you say goodbye
Tell me now before we lose forever
Girl, I don't wanna lose youGirl, I've got to have your sweet loving
'Cause without it, girl, I'll just lose my mind
The way you hold me comforts me and shows me
That a love like yours is hard to findI need your loving every day and night
Your kinda lovin' makes me feel alrightHold on to the love we have together
Hold on, don't you say goodbye
Want you to tell me now before we lose forever
Girl, I don't wanna lose you now
No, I don't want to lose you now, heyBaby, don't go, baby don't go, not now
Baby, don't go, I need you by my side girl, yeah

Baby, don't go, I love you so
And I don't wanna lose youYou know it took me a long time to finally realize
That a good thing is hard to find
That's why I'm standing right here with you today, girl
I wanna keep you forever, I've come to my senses, girl, you know
I don't wanna go anywhere, I'm coming homeHold on, what we got, baby
Hold on, just can't say goodbye, no no not now
Tell me now before we lose forever
Girl, I don't wanna lose you now
Don't wanna lose you nowHold on, got to hold on
Hold on, don't say goodbye
Don't say goodbye, not now
Tell me now, got to live our lives together
Girl, I don't wanna lose you nowI don't wanna lose you, baby
Don't wanna lose you now, I need you

Lionel Brockman Richie, Jr. (born June 20, 1949 in Tuskegee, Alabama) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, composer, and occasional actor. He got his start as the front man for the Commodores, a nationally popular Motown band during the 70's. They had several hits such as Easy, Three Times a Lady, and probably the Commodores' most famous hit, Brick House.

Richie quit the band in 1981 for a solo career. He released his self-titled debut in 1982. The album hit No. 3 on the charts and sold over 4 million copies. His follow up album, Can't Slow Down, sold over twice as many copies and won the Grammy for Album of the Year in '84. His third album, '86's Dancing On The Ceiling spawned such hits as Say You, Say Me, Dancing on the Ceiling, and Se La, but would be the end of his commercial success.

His 90's albums such as Back to Front, Louder Than Words, and Time all failed to achieve the previous decade's commercial success. Some of his recent work, such as the album Renaissance, has returned to his older style, hoping to achieve more success.
