Edge of the Century Lyrics

Is anyone out there at all?
Does anybody hear my call?
I'm on a channel all my own
Tuned in from the Twilight ZoneMy space-age Juliet
She's the best invention yet
Whenever I see her again
All my lonely days will endNow, I search all over the universe
At the edge of the century, yea
At the edge of the century, yea
Feel so lonely, am I the only one left on earth? At the edge of the century, yea
Countdown to infinity, yea
Feels so lonely, am I the only one left on earth? Is anyone out there for reals?
Does anyone feel like I feel?
Caught in a science fiction scene
That never made it to the screenMy space-age Juliet
This stage is desolate
Before the first act was complete
The shooting starlet hit the streetNow, I search all over the universe

At the edge of the century, yea
At the edge of the century, yea
Feel so lonely, am I the only one left on earth? At the edge of the century, yea
Countdown to infinity, yea
Feel so lonely, am I the only one left on earth? Now, I search all over the universe
At the edge of the century, yea
At the edge of the century, yea
Feel so lonely, am I the only one left on earth? At the edge of the century, yea
Countdown to infinity, yea
Feel so lonely, am I the only one left on earth?
I feel so lonely, am I the only one left on earth?
Feel so lonely, am I the only one left on earth?

The Bridgewater, NJ-based hardcore band Shades Apart formed in 1988, comprising singer/guitarist Mark V., bassist Kevin Lynch and drummer Ed Brown. After releasing their self-titled debut later that year on the Wishingwell label, the trio fell silent before resurfacing in 1992 with the Sunspot EP Dude Danger; another label change, this time to Skene, followed for the 1993 EP Neon. All members Bill Stevenson and Stephen Egerton produced Shades Apart's next LP, 1995's Save It, which scored a minor hit with its punked-up cover of Soft Cell's "Tainted Love.
