Folding Money Lyrics

When I was just a boy my granddaddy
Took me to town one afternoon
He drove an LTD, wore a big white Stetson
And two tone cowboy bootsHe said, "Son here it goes, and he handed me a twenty
Just to see the look on my face
He said, Dont tell your mama nothing about it
Dont spend it all in one placeYou see it takes folding money to get the deal done
Folding money to have a little fun
Folding money to pay a few bills
Eat a steak dinner and cure a couple illsFolding money, you need a little stash
Greenback dollars and cold hard cash
Save it for a rainy day or go away a little bit, son
It takes folding money to get the deal doneNow ever since the day I learned to earn a dollar
Ive been taking his advice to heart
Cause when a man finds the courage to keep his cash
Some romance is bound to startNow romance is just like money
You can always get more if youve got it
And let me tell you friends, Im a lot more

Handsome with a C note in my pocketYou see it takes folding money to get the deal done
Folding money to have a little fun
Folding money to pay a few bills
To take a girl dancing and cure a couple illsFolding money, you need a little stash
Greenback dollars and cold hard cash
Save it for a rainy day or go away a little bit, son
It takes folding moneyIts a pain in the back, its a cold hard fact
Gets to everybody sooner or later
You can give it to a charity and in some disparity
Stock up your refrigerator[Incomprehensible], itll kill you if you let it
You can blow it with nothing to show
It will make your wallet fatter but the truth
Of the matters cant take it with you when you go
Better spend a littleFolding money to get the deal done
Folding money to have a little fun
Folding money to pay a few bills
Spread a little round and cure a couple illsFolding money, you need a little stash
Greenback dollars and cold hard cash
Save it for a rainy day or go away a little bit, son
It takes folding money to get the deal doneFolding money
