Silent Partner Lyrics

She was my silent partner I miss my silent partner
And I hope my silent partner's missing me
Once I was blind with ambition and ascribed for fameThe need for money seemed to ruin my mind
I was just too blind to see a girl I loved was helping me
And she'd been my silent partner all the timeShe was my silent partner I love my silent partner
I never dreamed that she would set me free
She was my silent partner I miss my silent partner
And I hope my silent partner's missing meJust when I thought I'd reach the top
I started down and couldn't stop
And nobody seemed to care how far I'd fallLosing her has made me see
What lots of wealth has done to me
Yes, I need my silent partner after allShe was my silent partner
I miss my silent partner
And I hope my silent partner's missing me
