For Heaven's Sake (Live In Salt Lake City) Lyrics

Pull yourself together
Before you set yourself apart
Make every door you walk through
A living work of art
For Heavens SakeFor heavens sake there's more at stake
Than we may ever learn
More footsteps to hold onto and corners to be turned
Like weeping violins, you tremble and you shake
Don't you dwell on the future for it's miles away
For Heaven's SakeYour talkin' in your sleep
Like there's nothing more to lose
Well hey you know you're not alone
Cause honey I get lonely too
And it feels so familiar, must have been here before
Singin' I don't wanna go but I don't wanna hurt anymore
For Heaven's SakeAnd I know and I know and I know
That it ain't always fair
You're gonna have to let it go

No you're not moving anywherePull yourself together
Before you set yourself apart
Make every door you walk through
A living work of art
For Heavens SakeAnd I know and I know and I know
That you've had more than you can bare
But you're gonna have to let it go
No you're not moving anywhere
For Heavens Sake

Thriving Ivory derives its creative energy from great rock predecessors such as Queen, Guns’n’Roses, U2 and Elton John. At the same time, they maintain a modern rock edge lending them accessibility to fans of acts like Coldplay, Gavin DeGraw and Maroon 5. Pianist and songwriter Scott Jason is the founding member and co-producer of Thriving Ivory. He met Clayton Stroope -the band’s charismatic lead singer- while the two were students at U.C. Santa Barbara.
