On Your Side Lyrics

Well I never quite knew
Where I stood with you
And my safest bet
Was to disconnect
Yes its been so long
But the chemicals are never wrong
Dont you get me wrong
You see I dont mind falling in love again
My heart on the line again
No I dont mind
When Im on your side
See Im not ready to go alone
So no one told you that a heart could be forever
When Im not leaving cause were in this thing together
And I dont know which way will take us home
Im not ready to go alone
So no one told you it dont matter where the road leads
Cause where were going no we wont need anything

And this is not
Goodbye
Im always on your side
On your side
Well I never quite knew how to handle you
Will it play out soon?
Or should I make a move
Can you see what you started?
Now Im wounded and guarded
You lead me to believe that were all broken hearted.
See I dont mind falling in love again
My heart on the line again
No I dont mind
When Im on your side
See Im not ready to go alone
So no one told you that a heart could be forever
When Im not leaving cause were in this thing together
And I dont know which way will take us home
Im not ready to go alone
So no one told you it dont matter where the road leads
Cause where were going no we wont need anything
And this is not
Goodbye
Im always on your side
On your side
You see I dont mind falling in love again
My heart on the line again
No I dont mind
When Im on your side
So no one told you that a heart could be forever
When Im not leaving cause were in this thing together
And I dont know which way will take us home
Im not ready to go alone
So no one told you it dont matter where the road leads
Cause where were going no we wont need anything
This is not goodbye
Im always on your side
No this is not goodbye
Im always on your side
Always on your side

Thriving Ivory derives its creative energy from great rock predecessors such as Queen, Guns’n’Roses, U2 and Elton John. At the same time, they maintain a modern rock edge lending them accessibility to fans of acts like Coldplay, Gavin DeGraw and Maroon 5. Pianist and songwriter Scott Jason is the founding member and co-producer of Thriving Ivory. He met Clayton Stroope -the band’s charismatic lead singer- while the two were students at U.C. Santa Barbara.
