Hope Child Lyrics

Hell right
Horizon is gone
It's like a slow decay
Drippin' awayYeah, all right
The feelin' is gone
They need a song to tell 'em
It's gonna be okayHope child
Is it all right? All right, oh, no
Come on
It's a sign
That we're gonna beAll right
We listen to the folk songs
Sing out loud
Then repeatYou're waitin' for signs
Givin' the time
You're wonderin' why
You want your life to beginLookin' for signs
Give it some time

You're wonderin' why
Well, how much do you want?
How much will you give?Hope child
Is it all right?Do you know, child
That a little while
Is all we've got?Do you know, child
When your life gets wild
That all you've got
Is to never give up?And it's all you've got
It's all you've gotTo remember now
We broadcast hope
And I want you to remember, child
We broadcast hopeWhen there's nothing left, nothing's clear
And nowhere feels like home
You're not alone, you're not alone
You're not alone, you're not aloneCan you hear my voice
Hear that sound
(You're not alone)
Over the airwaves?
(You're not alone)And we broadcast light
Broadcast sound
(You're not alone)
Over the empty airwaves
(You're not alone)Well, it all comes back
And it all comes down
(You're not alone)
Well, it's dark but I swear
That there's hope child
(You're not alone)Hope child
Hope child
Hope child
Is it all right? Here we go

Free Energy is a Philadelphia, PA band formed in 2008 which includes Scott Wells, Paul Sprangers, Evan Wells, Sheridan Fox, and Nick Shuminksy. Wells and Sprangers were both in now-defunct Hockey Night. Free Energy broadcasts melodic, hook-laden rock tunes with a heavy dose of bombastic glam and classic dust. Where the similarly hook-tastic Hockey Night was reminiscent of Pavement and Truman's Water, Free Energy shares more similarities with the heroes of old: Thin Lizzy, Cheap Trick, Boston, Fleetwood Mac...
