If He Ask Me Lyrics

Verse 1
Got a man from the hood or is he from the streets
Yea I'm down cause he'd do anything for me
My man called me up said he needed a ride
I said what for he said just come and get me babe
Hopped in the whip with a real low key
Next thing I know he's r-r-running towards me
Hopped in the car got to feeling a feel
Looked in the back seen them lights in the rear
Chorus 2x's
Promise I'd risk my life (if he ask me)
Stand up in court and lie (if he ask me)
I really know time to side (if he ask me)
I'm always down to ride (if he ask me)
Verse 2
Yea I'm kinda mad but I don't give a damn
Cause I caught a case sorta did it for my man

I really don't care if they don't understand
Cause if I had the chance I would do it again
So called friends turn their backs on me
When I needed them most tell me who did I see
My man was there to get me back on my feet
Giving me bread and all the love that I need
Chorus 2x's
Instrumental Break
Chorus 6x's

Cherish is an R&B group, as well as a Japanese pop duet. The latter may also be tagged チェリッシュ

Cherish is an American R&B and hip hop quartet consisting of the sisters Farrah King (born February 17, 1984), Neosha King (born January 26, 1986), and twins Felisha and Fallon King (born June 5, 1987). The four sisters are originally from ]Illinois, but moved to Atlanta to further their musical career.

Cherish's first single, entitled "Miss P" was produced by Jermaine Dupri, written by Kandi and featured Da Brat, released by Warner Bros.' imprint reprise records. They can also be found on Da Brat's single "In Luv Wit Chu" in 2003. They also recorded 3 songs for The Powerpuff Girls: Power Pop soundtrack called "Chemical X", "Power of a Female" and "Me and My Girls". They completed a whole album named The Moment that was shelved for undisclosed reasons. After 3 years the group came back with the summer hit "Do It to It" which featured Sean Paul of the YoungBloodZ. The single hit the Billboard Hot 100 at number 12 and entered many other charts including the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs on Billboard and many more. The second single off the album was "Unappreciated".

Their sophomore album entitled The Truth was released on May 13, 2008. The first single, "Killa" hit the Top 40 on the Pop charts, while the follow-up is "Amnesia". In a recent interview member, Fallon, described the album as: "The biggest difference to me is the fact that you grow artistically whenever you’re being creative and we’ve been creative for the past couple of years. Our artistry has grown. When we wrote The Truth, we named the album The Truth because basically every song on the album is from personal experiences and we wanted to get personal with our fans. We want everybody to know that they’re not alone going through these things and we’re here.

They are currently working on a comeback album due out to mid 2009.

Cherish is also the name of a duet from Japan in the 70s.
