I'm Taking the Train Home Lyrics

Comments and memories attached
And when there's no one there,
But the last moment
And I'll praySo why can't you come around,
And why can't you watch the groundAnd your green eyes turn to blue,
Your always, your always,
Begging for the truthSo why can't you come around
And --like a cheating dream--
And when the door slams openMy --?--
I'm holding the other now
And don't let the lights come downAnd your green eyes turn to blue,
Your always, your always,
Begging for the truthAnd your green eyes turn to blue,
Your always, your always,
Begging for the truth,
And you're begging for the truthSo why don't you come around
And you're always, you're always
So why can't you come around

And why can't you watch the groundI'm holding the other now
You're always, you're always
And green eyes turn to blue
And green eyes turn to blue
And you're always, you're always
And you're always, you're always
Your green eyes turn to blue
Your green eyes turn to blueAnd you're always, you're always
Your green eyes turn to blue
Your green eyes turn to blueAnd you're always, you're always
And you're always, you're always
Your green eyes turn to blue
Your green eyes turn to blue

The Twilight Sad are an indie rock band from Kilsyth, Scotland formed in late 2003. The band is composed of James Alexander Graham (vocals), Andy MacFarlane (guitar/keyboards) and Mark Devine (drums). They have released three full-length albums: Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters (2007), Forget the Night Ahead (2009) and No One Can Ever Know (2012). Where their debut album mixed post-rock and post-punk with heavily delayed shoegaze guitars and folk elements, their second album is more influenced by early krautrock.
