In the Kingdom Lyrics

Saw the headlines just the other day
Said the wall's comin' down
Said the peace is just a breath away
One world, one voice, on happy family
Yeah, that's what the world believesI read my Bible just the other day
Said the Kingdom's comin' down
Jesus said the Kingdom's just a prayer away
One Lord, one God, one faith eternally
Yeah that's what the church believesWe're alive, we are strong
We're a nation, we belong
Let us all stand together in the Kingdom
No more darkness, no more night
We are children of the light
Let us all work together in the KingdomHeard a newsman just the other day
He said a war was comin' down
He said destruction was just a breath away
One world, one war, one awesome tragedy
Yeah, that's what the world believesI heard a preacher just the other day

He said God's glory's comin' down
Just as the waters cover all the seas
One King, one crown, one reign forevermore
Yeah that's what we have and moreWe're alive, we are strong
We're a nation, we belong
Let us all stand together in the Kingdom
No more darkness, no more night
We are children of the light
Let us all work together in the KingdomOne Lord, one God
One name above all names
Let us all stand together in the Kingdom
One King, one crown
One reign forevermore
All work together in the Kingdom

1. Whitecross was formed in Chicago in 1986. Vocalist Scott Wenzel and guitarist Rex Carroll were the backbone of the band from their debut album in 1987 to 1992's "High Gear". With the release of 1994's "Unveiled" the only original band member was Scott. The last Whitecross album was 1996's "Flytrap". In 1998 they released a greatest hits package titled "One More Encore". In 2005 Rex and Scott got together to re-record their debut album, calling it "Ninteen Eighty-Seven". The track lineup of the album is slightly different than on "Whitecross".
