Infamous Lyrics

My mom told me to get a job
Work with my neighbor
Why can't I get some sympathy
Don't yell at me
I'm almost 18
And not to mention,
I'm so poor I can't afford to pay attention
What can I say
We don't get paid.we suck and we're never gonna make it
We're too dumb to be rich and famous
Record companies don't even wanna claim us
We suck yeah
but who could blame usIs it the way I comb my hair,
the way I talk, the way I walk
the clothes I wear
What can I say
We don't get paid
I don't wanna throw my life away

I don't wanna throw my life awaywe're just like you and we're never gonna make it
we're too dumb to be rich and famous
record companies don't even wanna claim us
we suck yeah but who could blame usI don't wanna throw my life away
Tonite tonite alright
Don't wanna throw my life away
Tonite tonite alright
Don't wanna throw my life away
Tonite tonite alright
Don't wanna throw my life away
ToniteJust like you and we're never gonna make it
We're too dumb to be rich and famous
Record company's don't even wanna claim us
We suck
But who could blame us
We suck
But who could blame us
So do you
But who could blame usMy girlfriend swears to this day
that we're never gonna play
on the radio

Wakefield is a four piece rock band from Mechanicsville, Maryland. Their initial stage as a pop punk outfit, as heard on 2003's "American Made", was both witty and infectious, but was abandoned by the time of their second official release "Which Side Are You On?". The latter record showcases the band's newfound musical maturity and versatility. There was also a band named Wakefield from North Carolina in the mid to late 90s that played alt-rock music.
