Lose This Life Lyrics

I, I, I, I got caught in a hurricane
No one but myself to blame
I got lost in the rain
Then I, I, I, I got stuck in a spider web
Tangled up in all my cares
Such a lonely affairLike a ragin' sea
Fear wants to swallow me
I've searched but there's no peace without YouBut if I lose this life
I know, I'll find it in You
So won't you take my life
'Cause I surrender to You
I'm runnin' back to the truth
Your word is clear
I've got to believe itLost, so lost
Somewhere in the dead of night
Driftin' like a satellite, spinnin' out of control
But love, your love is stronger than gravity
And it's pullin' at the heart of me

I'm givin' inLike a ragin' sea
Fear wants to swallow me
I've searched but there's no peace without YouBut if I lose this life
I know I'll find in You
So won't you take my life
'Cause I surrender to You
I'm runnin' back to the truth
Your word is clear
I've got to believe itLose this life, it's the death of me
Lose this life, it's gonna set me free
Lose this life, it's the death of me
Lose this life, it's gonna set me freeAnd if I lose this life
I know I'll find it in You
So won't you take my life
Oh, I surrender to You
There's no denyin' the truth
Your word is clear
I've got to believe it
I've got to believe it

According to frontman and DC Talk member Michael Tait, the band Tait was born in 1996 when he met drummer Chad Chapin. The two performed a cover of the song Curious George, followed by a bevy of Pearl Jam tracks. From this, Tait emerged and added two new members, former Grammatrain member Pete Stewart and former Petra bass player Lonnie Chapin. The group is named for Michael Tait's late father, of whom he says "taught me how to appreciate the human experience whether it be a sunny day, a beautiful lawn, or amazing trees set before an amazing mountain.
