Nickel In the Well Lyrics

Ive got a four leaf clover
I hung a horseshoe on the wall
I threw salt over my left shoulder
Ill try anything at allTo get lucky with you
I want you so much
Until you want me too
I aint gonna give upIll throw another nickel in the well
Tell myself this time maybe itll help
To make my dreams come trueIll make another wish upon a star
Just in case youre out in your backyard
Lookin' up there tooWith a lot of love and a little luck
Youll fall like I fell
Ill just cross my fingers
Throw another nickel in the wellIf I could get Houdini
Teach me a trick or two
Then maybe you would see me
In the way I want you toI'm gonna knock on wood
It aint been easy

Ive done everything I could
To make you need meIll throw another nickel in the well
Tell myself this time maybe itll help
To make my dreams come trueIll make another wish upon a star
Just in case youre out in your backyard
Lookin' up there tooWith a lot of love and a little luck
Youll fall like I fell
Ill just cross my fingers
And throw another nickel in the wellAnd with a lot of love and a little luck
Youll fall like I fell
Ill just cross my fingers
Throw another nickel in the well
Yeah, just cross my fingers
And throw another nickel in the well

Bryan White was born February 17, 1974 in Lawton, Oklahoma. In the mid 1990s, when Bryan was only in his early twenties, he quickly became one of country music's hottest young stars earning number one singles on the Billboard country chart with his songs "Someone Else's Star" and "Rebecca Lynn" from his debut album. "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore" reached fourth, and then he had numbers with "So Much For Pretending" and "Sittin' On Go" from his second album. Although one critic labelled Bryan's first two albums as "surprisingly mature", it was mainly teen fans which helped launch his success. The first issue of Teen Country magazine was devoted solely to him.
