Northbound Lyrics

Im driving northbound
The city lights are fading
I turn the music loud
I cant deny that I feel alive
Like Ive been born again, born again
Sing loud a new song
The verse it makes the chorus takes
My heart and makes me whole
Still driving northbound
As I remember why Im running away
Cause I want to be with youThe fullness of joy is found in your presence
The fullness of life is in you
The center of life is you in its essence
The fullness of joy is found in your presenceHold me, surround me
And overwhelm my heart with the simplest of things
On this beautiful afternoon
Our children play, were far away
This time we take and celebrate our love again

One thing Im sure of
This is where I want to stayThe fullness of joy is found in your presence
The fullness of life is in you
The center of life is you in its essence
The fullness of joy is found in your presenceAnd I keep you now always before me
Because you are at my right hand
I will not be shaken, no no
And my heart is glad and my soul rejoices
Youve shown to me the path of life
And given me the joy
That is found
From your right hand pleasures flow forevermore
From your right hand pleasures flow forevermoreThe fullness of joy is found in your presence
The fullness of life is in you
The center of life is you in its essence
The fullness of joy is found in your presence

David James Stewart is an up and coming independent artist from Minneapolis, MN. David just released his debut solo album, "Things That Make Us" on February 10th, 2009. On top of being a singer/songwriter, David is also a multi-instrumentalist and producer, in fact, David played all the instruments and produced his album himself.

He describes his music as "story-telling indie rock and roll with a touch of electronica and dash of folk." Others have described his music as "the bastard child of The Killers and Dido" or "Shawn McDonald meets Switchfoot". Whatever comparisons you find most helpful, one cannot argue that Things That Make Us is just the beginning of good things to come from David James Stewart.
