On the Way Down Lyrics

Every day is seen as one way or another
You only get back what you give
Have you ever stood by someone broken
Or dying?
Have you ever known anyone had left
Are you gonna truly live?It feels like you're alone
And there's no going home nowOn the way down I saw you
You were high as hell but stuck in the middle
One on one you're just so hard to leave
It was in the dark I found you
So quick to give your heart for so little
Tell me what's so wrong with giving in
On a scale of one to ten
Are you still afraid
Are you still awake
Don't close your eyes
The bullets gonna clot in your veins
Do you need a way, can you be set north

On a moral compass
You weren't always like this
You weren't always like thisIt feels like you're alone
And there's no going home nowOn the way down I saw you
You were high as hell but stuck in the middle
One on one you're just so hard to leave
It was in the dark I found you
So quick to give your heart for so little
Tell me what's so wrong with giving in
This world is keeping score I just can't win
On a scale of one to ten
I wasn't always like this
No
I wasn't always like thisOn the way down I saw you
You were high as hell but stuck in the middle
One on one you're just so hard to leave
Well I need something to save me
It was in the dark I found you
So quick to give your heart for so little
Tell me what's so wrong with giving in
This world is keeping score I just can't win
On a scale of one to ten
