One Day Lyrics

Some thought it best that you didn't know
Others live their lives by I told you so
You were out on the ledge, hard to control
But it was all that you had, you couldn't let it go
Some found it hard and they could barely believe
Without saying goodbye you just couldn't leave
You had tears in your eyes, down on your knees
You were saying a prayer but I only heard pleaseOne day let this come my way
Because right now I just don't see how
I'd rather be alone than to have to start again
And I'm so scared of remember when.
Taking your time when you were coming around
To trade the hope I lost for the love I found
God it's been so long since I tried to phone one in
I guess you just missed my call or maybe your home again
Amen.
You never found a problem that you couldn't solve
Except sitting by the phone never made it talk.

And the smallest bridge was so hard to burn until
You lit with the fire from all your lessons learned.
They used their big words just to push you away
So confident you'd fall down on what to say
You said "this world is fake and that ain't hard to see
But the fix is in and their promises are temporary."One day let this come my way
Because right now I just don't see how
I'd rather be alone than to have to start again
And I'm so scared of remember when.
Taking your time when you were coming around
To trade the hope I lost for the love I found
God it's been so long since I tried to phone one in
I guess you just missed my call or maybe your home again
Amen.
I never thought you'd let it get this far.She said but one day let this come my way
Because right now I just don't see how
I'd rather be alone because I lost my only friend
And I'm so scared of remember when.
Taking your time when you were coming around
To trade the hope I lost for the love I found
God it's been so long since I tried to phone one in
I wasn't looking for forgiveness I was looking
For means to an endI guess you just missed my call or maybe your home.
Amen.
