Pieces Of You Lyrics

Album: A Lifetime Burning
You wear your heart on your sleeve
So I thought you should know
You look like a stranger now
To the ones you call home
You said life’s always changing (Yea)
Oh, nothing’s the same
I can see all your faces now
I don’t remember your names
And if you believe
I wish you would see it
And when you’re around
I wish you would come back down
And I wouldn’t give you time
Pick up the pieces of you left behind
I’ve got my mind made up
I’m ready to leave
I’ve measured the cost now

And I just want you to breathe
You feel that I’m always watching (Yea)
And I’d save you everytime (And I’d save you everytime)
Then I push you in harms way
And I was nowhere behind
So if this is a dream
I wish you would wake me
You don’t want to be found
I guess I’ll just turn around
And I will give you time
Pick up the pieces of you left behind
You’re always my, every choice
You were my everything till you…
Everything all at once…try
Never let it show
They got the best of us
I know you needed to dream
They wouldn’t restrain you
Push so hard through the crowd
But you never made a sound
And I always took your side (Even when you left me behind)
They got the best of us…this year (Even when you left me behind)
They got the best of us…this year (Even when you left me behind)
They got the best of us
