Raising Cain Lyrics

I'm sick and tired of this masquerade
I'm bored to death by the games we play
For to long now it's been a charade
Don't wanna stay around to piss on paradeGotta get the hell outta here
Too late now to wrap me up in chains
Too late now to bite my tongue, stop me
Raising CainThe chip on your shoulder is a monkey on my back
You steal the glory, I'll take the flak
Can't stand your accusations, your recriminations
It's time to jump this train cos we've crashed the stationDon't wanna take this ride no more
Too late now to wrap me up in chains
Too late now to bite my tounge, stop me
Raising CainThe gift of masque was like pearls before swineToo late now to wrap me up in chains
Too late now to bite my tounge, stop me
Raising Cain

Wayne Hussey (born Jerry Wayne Lovelock on 26 May 1958 in Bristol, England) is a British punk rock and post-punk musician, best known as a member of Dead or Alive, The Mission, and The Sisters of Mercy while also having a notable solo career. Growing up in Bristol, his early influences included Marc Bolan and Bolan's transgressive glam rock group, T. Rex. Hussey was thus inspired to become a guitarist and songwriter. Brought up in the strict Mormon religion, he rebelled against his parents and moved to Liverpool in the late 70s to join the scene around Eric's, a noted nightclub of the time.
