Reconnecting Lyrics

Been stuck there under the gun
Tired of living like the prodigal son
Everything has come undone
And left me wantingI'm naked for the world to see
So hungry on the inside to believe
Come down and direct my feet
Start me runningI've been outta touch but I'm reconnecting
I've had enough of my way and I'm tired of rejecting
I realized it was all a lie so I climbed down from the edge
I've been outta touch but I'm reconnecting to YouI can feel You under my skin
Wanna have You light me up again
Tell me where I should begin
Keep me turningPower comes from Your extension
The words You speak are my intervention
Give me sight to know Your intention
Light me I'm burningI've been outta touch but I'm reconnecting
I've had enough of my way and I'm tired of rejecting
I realized it was all a lie so I climbed down from the edge

I've been outta touch but reconnecting to YouI'm reconnecting
I'm reconnecting, reconnectingI've been outta touch but I'm reconnecting
I've had enough of my way and I'm tired of rejecting
I realized it was all a lie so I climbed down from the edge
I've been outta touch but I'm reconnecting
Oh I've been outta touch but I'm reconnecting to You

According to frontman and DC Talk member Michael Tait, the band Tait was born in 1996 when he met drummer Chad Chapin. The two performed a cover of the song Curious George, followed by a bevy of Pearl Jam tracks. From this, Tait emerged and added two new members, former Grammatrain member Pete Stewart and former Petra bass player Lonnie Chapin. The group is named for Michael Tait's late father, of whom he says "taught me how to appreciate the human experience whether it be a sunny day, a beautiful lawn, or amazing trees set before an amazing mountain.
