Sandcastles Lyrics

I got this ticket in my hand
And I got a long, long day ahead
And I got a hell of a lot of reasons to be sad
But I've got a hundred more that keep me coming back
I got these worn out red boots on
And I got a brand new favorite song
And I can name some people who'd say that I got it all wrong
But I know plenty more who've been there all along
I'd rather make sandcastles
Instead of these wide world decisions
I knew, I knew it all was catching up to me
And I don't have a plan at all
But I got this six string religion
And I do, I do believe a song can heal me
It's enough for me, yeah
I had this picture in my head
Of where I oughta be and when
But it's just like the good advice that John gave when he said

"Life, it happens while you're busy making plans"
I'd rather make sandcastles
Instead of these wide world decisions
I knew, I knew it all was catching up to me, yeah
And I don't have a plan at all
But I got this six string religion
And I do, I do believe a song can heal me
It's enough for me, yeah
Where I'm laughing is where I'm home
But you know how fast it makes the time go, babe
And there was nothing like the first time that I saw open road
And I wasn't terrified to ride it on my own
I got my heart in the right place
But that place is millions of miles away
And I suppose I never will know the perfect words to say
But I'll keep searching till they find me one fine day
And I'd rather make sandcastles
Instead of these wide world decisions
I knew, I knew it all was catching up to me, yeah
And I don't have a plan at all
But I got this six string religion
And I do, I do believe a song can heal me
It's enough for me, yeah
It's enough for me, yeah
It's enough for me

Pop group previously named "The Consequence" from Roseland, New Jersey. Released their debut “By The Bedside” EP in late 2006.
Members: Jean Paul Makhlouf, Alexander Luke Makhlouf, Sam Frisch, Anthony Villicari

The history of the band dates back to 1998 when Sam Frisch and Jean Paul Makhlouf started a band with a couple of school friends called Full Moon. After two years of playing the band fell apart. In 2000, Sam and drummer, Steve Cozzarelli, started a punk band called Something to Say with friend Jeff Sayers, who played bass and sang. After a while, Jean Paul joined the fray and they started to hone their songwriting skills. Tensions between Jean Paul and Steve arose, and Steve soon exited the band in 2001. Local drummer Mike DiRoma took over drumming duties, and the band finally changed their name to The Consequence. By 2004, all of the members were in college, and Jeff soon left the band. Sam moved from guitar to bass and Jean Paul's brother, Alex, was brought into the fray on keyboards. Tensions between Mike and the rest of the band started to come to an extreme in early 2006, and the parties decided to go their separate ways. Finding a drummer to replace DiRoma became a difficult task, and the band was talking to several different people in the local scene, including Sam's brother, Josh. Eventually, the band's present drummer, Anthony Villicari, was brought in due to his close proximity and friendship with Alex. In 2006, solo artist Adam Richman was brought in as another guitarist/singer, but then left in 2007. The band was signed to Universal Republic Records in late 2007, and changed their name to Cash Cash in 2008.
