She Lyrics

She's sits in the corner thinking
about all the things
she has done. She says she's the only one to blame
the candle next to her seems
brighter than the light
in her heartNo one understands her painThey just don't get herShe's caught up in the story
she's only 17
there's no one to protect her
she's just like you and me
I don't think it's fair
Can no one see
what is going onshe tries to hide the scars
she's taking pills
to make it go awayshe cries herself to sleep at night
When people point at her
and treat her like she
doesn't belong
she just closes her eyesThey don't quite get herShe's caught up in the story

she's only 17
there's no one to protect her
she's just like you and me
I don't think it's fair
Can no one see
what is going onShe's dying inside
no one to run to
looking for love
there's no one aroundEverything else feels
like a daily dream
I can not believe
someone to find thislove that's all she needsYou couldn't understand
even if you tried
you won't believe
what its like to
feel this wayA thousand voices
trying make you feel
like everything is your faultIt just won't go awayThey don't, I get hurtShe's caught up in the story
she's only 17
there's no one to protect her
she's just like you and me
I don't think it's fair
Can no one see
what is going on X2what is going on... with her

According to frontman and DC Talk member Michael Tait, the band Tait was born in 1996 when he met drummer Chad Chapin. The two performed a cover of the song Curious George, followed by a bevy of Pearl Jam tracks. From this, Tait emerged and added two new members, former Grammatrain member Pete Stewart and former Petra bass player Lonnie Chapin. The group is named for Michael Tait's late father, of whom he says "taught me how to appreciate the human experience whether it be a sunny day, a beautiful lawn, or amazing trees set before an amazing mountain.
