Someday Lyrics

Someday
SomedayWhen I fell for you
There was no doubt about it
You were the best thing
In my life to come alongYou and me
We said we will last forever
Something so right
You just had to make so wrongSomeday, baby
You're gonna miss my love
Someday
You're gonna miss my loveYou played around
You didn't care about my feelings
You messed around
Tryin' to play me like a foolHow could you look at my face
And tell me that you love me
How could you treat me so cold
How could you be so cruelI tried to give you something
That everybody's out here looking for

You just couldn't see the good things
That I had to give
Now it's for me to help you out the doorSomeday, someday, baby
You're gonna miss, you're gonna miss
You're gonna miss my love
Someday, someday, baby
You're gonna miss my loveTried to give you something
That everybody's out here looking for
You just couldn't see a good thing
When I had to give to you, baby
Now it's time for me to help you out the doorSomeday, someday, baby
You're gonna miss, you're gonna miss
You're gonna miss my love
Someday, I'm sure you will
You're gonna miss my love(Someday)
Why did you have to do me wrong
All you did was just string my heart along
Did you care about the pain that I feel inside
You lied, you lied
(Someday)
Oh, you lied to me, babyI can't believe it, I can't conceive it
But right now I've just got to relieve it
(Someday)
Oh yeah, I've got to help you out the door, baby
Walking out the door
(Someday)
Oh babeYou're gonna miss, you're gonna miss my loving
(Someday)
I'm sure you will, sure you will
You're gonna miss my, you're gonna miss
You're gonna miss my love
(Someday)

Lionel Brockman Richie, Jr. (born June 20, 1949 in Tuskegee, Alabama) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, composer, and occasional actor. He got his start as the front man for the Commodores, a nationally popular Motown band during the 70's. They had several hits such as Easy, Three Times a Lady, and probably the Commodores' most famous hit, Brick House.

Richie quit the band in 1981 for a solo career. He released his self-titled debut in 1982. The album hit No. 3 on the charts and sold over 4 million copies. His follow up album, Can't Slow Down, sold over twice as many copies and won the Grammy for Album of the Year in '84. His third album, '86's Dancing On The Ceiling spawned such hits as Say You, Say Me, Dancing on the Ceiling, and Se La, but would be the end of his commercial success.

His 90's albums such as Back to Front, Louder Than Words, and Time all failed to achieve the previous decade's commercial success. Some of his recent work, such as the album Renaissance, has returned to his older style, hoping to achieve more success.
