Somehow Tonight Lyrics

Somehow tonight I feel lonely, my darlin'
Somehow tonight I feel blue
Somehow tonight these tears of mine keep falling
Come back, sweetheart and be trueI thought your love was something I could treasure
To brighten my pathway through the years
Now all I can see is darkness in the future
That's why I long to have you nearSomehow tonight I feel lonely, my darlin'
Somehow tonight I feel blue
Somehow tonight these tears of mine keep falling
Come back, sweetheart and be trueI never knew what loneliness meant, darlin'
Until I watched you walk away
I long to hear you whisper that you love me
I can't forget our happy daysSomehow tonight I feel lonely, my darlin'
Somehow tonight I feel blue
Somehow tonight these tears of mine keep falling
Come back, sweetheart and be true

Lester Raymond Flatt (June 19, 1914 - May 11, 1979) was one of the pioneers of bluegrass music. Flatt was born in Jackson County, Tennessee to Nannie Mae Haney and Isaac Columbus Flatt.[1] A singer and guitarist, he first came to prominence as a member of Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys in the 1940s. In 1948 he started a band with fellow Monroe alumnus Earl Scruggs, and for the next twenty years Flatt and Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys were one of the most successful bands in bluegrass.
