Speed of Light Lyrics

Day is dawning, morning will begin
Twilight calling, does it have to end?
Can we always be or stay forever running wild and free?Moon descending, tide comes in again
Never ending, take a long taste of the sunshine
Can we always be, never stop movingAt the speed of light, I try to hold on tight
At the speed of light, never stop
There is no end in sightThe speed of light, I try to hold on tight
At the speed of light, never stop
There is no end in sightWaves are crashing all around us now
Lights are flashing, don't let them burn out
Lying on the beach, nothing else matters
It's just you and meInfinite summer, nothing has to end
We will recover, breathe so deep we'll stay forever
Running wild and free, never stop movingAt the speed of light, I try to hold on tight
At the speed of light, never stop
There is no end in sightAt the speed of light, I try to hold on tight
At the speed of light, never stop
There is no end in sightWhen the winter closes in and the castles

Built of sand all wash away
We won't cry for yesterday or tomorrow
We will go on living for todayAt the speed of light, I try to hold on tight
At the speed of light, never stop
There is no end in sightAt the speed of light, I try to hold on tight
At the speed of light, never stop
There is no end in sightAt the speed of light
At the speed of light
At the speed of light
At the speed of light
At the speed of light

The Bridgewater, NJ-based hardcore band Shades Apart formed in 1988, comprising singer/guitarist Mark V., bassist Kevin Lynch and drummer Ed Brown. After releasing their self-titled debut later that year on the Wishingwell label, the trio fell silent before resurfacing in 1992 with the Sunspot EP Dude Danger; another label change, this time to Skene, followed for the 1993 EP Neon. All members Bill Stevenson and Stephen Egerton produced Shades Apart's next LP, 1995's Save It, which scored a minor hit with its punked-up cover of Soft Cell's "Tainted Love.
