Spider Monkey Lyrics

Time is but a memory
The bitter note unsung running
Trying to find salvation
From the sorrow that is doneFor the life of me
Will the sorrow rise?
For this under
Underlies all I seeFor time is but a memory
Beautiful for some
Feathered like a majorette
In a rose unsaid and doneMoments
Like a rainbow colored sky
How they come and go
They come and go but why?For unknown
Is our fortune
And our fortune won't let goAnd our faith
It will die with the sun
It will lie underneath
All will seeFor time is but a memory

Beautiful for some
Feathered like a majorette
In a rose unsaid and doneBut it's all
All for our future
And our future won't let go[Incomprehensible]

The Gear Daddies is a band from Austin, Minnesota that enjoyed moderate success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Its members were Randy Broughten (electric and steel guitar), Nick Ciola (bass), Billy Dankert (drums and vocals), and Martin Zellar (guitar and vocals). Their most mainstream success was when they played Late Night with David Letterman in 1991. Ciola and Dankert did not play on the show because many bands simply sat in with Paul Shaffer and The World's Most Dangerous Band when playing the show.
