Standing Alone Lyrics

Starin' out the window
Like I'm waiting for a change
As if I'd stare long enough
I'd see it when it cameI used the book of numbers
By the silent telephone
I called up everyone I found
But didn't talk to no oneAnd the rain comes down
As if it's trying to wash me away
And there ain't no romantic
Movin' lines like they sayStanding alone
Like I got nowhere to go
Standing alone
Like the day that I was born
Out on my own
I believe this boy has grown
Standing aloneAin't no way to take a blow
When every cheek's been turned
I can't show another side

When every side's been burnedI'm helpless, can't fight a raging heart
And I got no use for bein' torn apart
And the world don't seem
To have no use for me
'Cause you've given nothing
And nothing isn't freeStanding alone
Like I got nowhere to go
Standing alone
Like the day that I was born
Out on my own
I believe this boy has grown
Standing aloneYou can't keep it all inside
I need someone else
To stand with me by my side
Give me something to fight
Something to hold on to
I just don't wanna be standing aloneAnd the rain comes down
As if it's trying to wash me away
And there ain't no romantic
Movin' lines, like they sayStanding alone
Like I got nowhere to go
Standing alone
Like the day that I was born
Out on my own
I believe this boy has grown
Standing aloneStanding alone
Like I got nowhere to go
Standing alone
Like the day that I was born
Out on my own
I believe this boy has grown
Standing alone

Tyketto were an American heavy rock band of the 1990s who never achieved the success they felt they deserved. The group was put together in 1987 by former Waysted vocalist Danny Vaughn. Brooke St James (Guitar), Jimi Kennedy (Bass) and Micheal Clayton (Drums) completed the lineup. By 1990 the band had signed to Geffen Records, and released their debut album "Don't Come Easy". Musically, it was somewhere between Whitesnake and Bon Jovi, with Tyketto opening for the former on many bills. However, the rise of the 'grunge' sound in 1991 saw Tyketto's hopes of the big breakthrough begin to recede.
