Strange Behavior Lyrics

This is the story
About two people in loveWe were happily married
Until he waved a gun at me
I said What's with all your strange behaviorHe said, I love you, baby
But you got a big insurance policy
And I really need the paperStrange behavior by the sea
He'd be here but he's deceased
Strange behaviorI had a big insurance policy
And he had a big insurance policy tooI said, Baby if you get a job
You would not have to shoot me now
He said, Oh my God you're such a hataBut then he chickened out
I took the gun and shot him down
'Cuz I really need the paperStrange behavior by the sea
He'd be here but he's deceased
Strange behaviorWhat was I to do
Sometimes it's me or you
I swear that I loved you, babyWhat's it with the gun?
All I have to say so, I say so

'Cuz I'm rich nowDrove his body to the sea
Kissed him on his cold cheek
I said, I guess I see you laterAnd the people all asking me
I say, He'd be here but he deceased
Then I go and spend my paperStrange behavior by the sea
He'd be here but he's deceased
It's a strange behavior, strange behaviorStrange behavior by the sea
He'd be here but he's deceased
Strange behavior

Macy Gray (born Natalie McIntyre September 6, 1967) from Canton, Ohio is a Grammy Award winning neo soul/R&B singer, songwriter, record producer and actress. To date, Macy has released five studio albums, one compilation album and a live album. She has acted in a number of movies including Training Day, Idlewild, and Lackawanna Blues, Gray is best known for her international hit single "I Try", taken from her multi-platinum debut album On How Life Is. Other hits include "Sweet Baby," "Do Something," "When I See You," and "Beauty in the World."

Macy Gray was originally hesitant to record a studio album due to what is, arguably, her most recognizable feature -- her voice. She started her music career as a songwriter. Her first album was actually a mistake; she was at the studio waiting for the person who was supposed to be singing her song, and the producer wanted to hear what one of the songs was supposed to sound like. Once she started singing, the producer liked the rough sound of her voice so much he offered her a record deal.
