Strange World Lyrics

Mary was on Face The Nation
Sunday morning ten o'clock
It's a very strange world
In a very strange timeJimmy makes a handsome living
Juggling weapons in the park
It's a very strange world
In a very strange timeAnd so it goes slowly down the road
And so I say - I got no friends todayThe bomber got his manifesto
Published in the New York Times
It's a very strange world
Got some interesting mindsAdvertising pays more than a lot
While the teacher's selling pies in the parking lot
It's a very strange world
With some well hidden crimesI didn't know life could get so cold
I didn't see - I thought they were all like meIt's a very strange world
But I think I like itI didn't know life could get so cold
I didn't see - I thought they were all like me
And so it goes slowly down the road

And so I say - I got no friends todayMary went to Face The Nation
Sunday morning ten o'clock
It's a very strange time
In a very strange world

Spock's Beard is a progressive rock band formed in 1992 in Los Angeles by brothers Neal and Alan Morse. Neal (keyboards/vocals) and Alan (guitars) were joined by fellow musicians Nick D'Virgilio (Nick D'Virgilio, drums - also known as NDV) and Dave Meros (bass), and were later joined by veteran keyboardist Ryo Okumoto. Spock's Beard play a brand of progressive rock with pop music leanings, drawing much influence from Genesis and The Beatles. They are also well known for their intricate multi-part vocal harmonies and use of counterpoint much in the vein of Gentle Giant.
