This Town Lyrics

This town doesn't understand
Two people makin' dreams and plans
They say were much too young
In this townThis towns full of narrow minds
Cant see beyond the city limit signs
They close the bedroom blinds
In this townI've done some thinkin' and I realize
Theres more than dairy queens and Friday nights
While were still young, we've gotta get away
Together we can make our breakFrom this town wordll get around
Two renegades escaped
No, they couldn't keep us down
And this town will be a dime store memory
Baby, I just know it
Theres a better place to be than this town
Oh, this townNow this towns got a factory
Not much future here for you and me
Its as far as they can see

In this townI've heard the wind blowin' at my door
Voices tellin' me theres so much more
Its easy to get bored
In this townI've just got to see those those city lights
Its time we spread our wings and learn to fly
Theyll never catch us if we disappear
Oh the interstate is much to nearTo this town wordll get around
Two renegades escaped
No, they couldn't keep us down
And this town will be a dime store memory
Baby, I just know it
Theres a better place to be than this town
Oh, this townCant you just hear them talkin' their righteous words
Burnin' down the wire
What do we care what they think now
Thinkin's not allowed in this townThis town wordll get around
Two renegades escaped
No, they couldn't keep us down
And this town will be a dime store memory
Baby, I just know it
Theres a better place to be than this town
Oh, this townThis town
This town
This town

Bryan White was born February 17, 1974 in Lawton, Oklahoma. In the mid 1990s, when Bryan was only in his early twenties, he quickly became one of country music's hottest young stars earning number one singles on the Billboard country chart with his songs "Someone Else's Star" and "Rebecca Lynn" from his debut album. "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore" reached fourth, and then he had numbers with "So Much For Pretending" and "Sittin' On Go" from his second album. Although one critic labelled Bryan's first two albums as "surprisingly mature", it was mainly teen fans which helped launch his success. The first issue of Teen Country magazine was devoted solely to him.
