Till the Sun Comes Up Lyrics

Lately I've been
Lately I've been losing
If I don't wanna go in the morning
I'll stay hereSome things you
Some things you can't explain
Won't someone take me out of the water
Out of the rain
'Cause I just wanna come back again
Come back againAnd oh but I
Just wanna wait till the sun comes up
The stars in your eyes
Disappear when you grow up
And soon you'll realise
When you're down and you can't get up
That I just wanna wait till
Till the sun comes up
Till the sun comes upWhen you're moving
All you ever do is run

You always say the worst is coming
When the worst has come
When you're feeling black and blue
When you think the whole world is falling down on you
With all the words that fly at youAnd oh but I
Just wanna wait till the sun comes up
The stars in your eyes
Disappear when you grow up
And soon you'll realise
When you're down and you can't get up
That I just wanna wait till
Till the sun comes upAnd oh I just wanna wait till
Till the sun comes upAnd it's a hard fight
With these highs and lows
And it's a hard fight
And I think that we should just let this go
When these highs and lows
They don't let you goOh but I
Just wanna wait till the sun comes up
The stars in your eyes
Disappear when you grow up
And soon you'll realise
When you're down and you can't get up
That I just wanna wait till
Till the sun comes upWoah
I just wanna wait till
Till the sun comes up

Gavin James, 22-year-old singer songwriter, has already won Ireland's answer to the Mercury (the Choice Music Prize for 'Song of the Year') and seen his debut EP ('Say Hello') remain on the Irish chart for over 6 months. This rise and development in his home market has gained Gavin sell-out headline dates and wider support tours with the likes of Lianne La Havas, Beth Orton, Kodaline and Marina & The Diamonds.

A snapshot of this ascent, 'Live at Whelans' is a selection of new and old songs performed in the stripped-back environment of a rapturously-received hometown show. The first track to be lifted from it, 'Nervous', is a pin-drop account of a one-sided relationship: from that initial fear of your first meeting to the gradual realisation, by the end of the song, that perhaps they were never who you thought they were (and it's best to forget about them).
