Under the Moon Lyrics
Under the Moon
Verse 1
I lost my way through the fog that night
When I pulled up to a bar with a flashing red sign
Thought I’d rest and get a bite to eat
Fell into a booth because I was beat.
Far in the corner I felt those eyes
Looking at me from the shadows inside
flickering light made it hard to see
I got a feeling she was looking at me.
Verse 2
She began strolling to me from there
Like a cat on a fence in her long black hair.
I couldn’t move and began to sweat
Something about that short leather dress
Smoke in the room and sawdust on the floor
On the wall above was the head of a boar.
Bottles on the bar, bouncers at the door.
Tattoos on the barmaid
with a vibe you can’t ignore.
Chorus 1
She whispered in my ear
There’s a full moon out
Let’s skip the small talk
Follow me for a walk
There’s a world you’d like to know
When the night is aglow
She led me in the woods
I began to feel strange
When she howled
And her eyes changed.
Verse 3
She bite me so hard on the lip
That blood began to run and drip
Instead of feeling pain I felt rearranged
Began to get warm and feel deranged
I had past the point of return
When I felt my head begin to spin
Forgot where I was going or where I had been
Felt like I was wearing an animal skin
Verse 4
Under the moon I felt rather strange
Then suddenly a craving in my veins
We ran through the night in the cover of the woods
Hunting for food and howling like wolves
When the sun came up , she disappeared
Ever since then I been feeling really weird
Wake up in the morning with ripped up clothes
Fur in my nails and blood from my nose.
Chorus 2
Under the moon I’m not the same
It drives me insane
It started with her on that fateful night
When the moon was bright
Under the moon
I return to that saloon
To find out what she did
Maybe there are more
With that wolftress I adore
Where were all the same…all the same
Under the moon
