Welcome To Nashville Lyrics

Welcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville
Welcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville
Welcome to Nashville, Nashville, TennesseeIt ain't been this bad since Conway had him a perm
And you'd think by now them sorry sons a? bitches have learned
A bunch of soft-rock wanna be, hell they can't even sing
Auto tuning Nashville, TennesseeWelcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville
I said, welcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville
Welcome to Nashville, Nashville, TennesseeAnd now the DJ on the radio wants his payola
He won't play your record unless he gets that quota
He gonna make you play free shows, dress you up in pantyhose
Pimp you like dirty hoe, hold on, here we goWelcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville
I said, welcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville
Welcome to Nashville, Nashville, TennesseeWell, now, kid, we really like what it is you're playing
And you look like you sound good, if you know what we're saying
But we're gonna change your image, change your style
Change your voice, change your smile
Cut some outside songs and you can't go wrong
They don't offend nobody and they're three minutes longWelcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville

I said, welcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville
Welcome to Nashville, Nashville, TennesseeNow Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, North Dakota
Alabama, Mississippi, Carolina, Manitoba
Stay where you are, play your local bar
You'll make more money, won't sleep in your carWelcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville
I said, welcome to Nashville, welcome to Nashville
Welcome to Nashville, Nashville, Tennessee
Welcome to Nashville, Nashville, Tennessee

Halfway to Hazard is the country duo, made up of Chad Warrix and David Tolliver, from Hazard, Kentucky. Though Warrix and Tolliver were from different towns in southeastern Kentucky, their band's origins are in Hazard. The name of their band comes from their hometowns, Hazard being the halfway point between their homes.

The H2H boys also host a benefit near their hometowns for a local charity, the Buckhorn Children's Center. The benefit, which is held in Crockettsville, Kentucky, is called the Halfway to Hazard Annual Charity Trail Ride. The Trail Ride actually consists of a concert on Saturday and a dirt bike/ATV ride through a trail system on Sunday. At the Second Annual Trail Ride, in 2009, Tim McGraw, Lee Brice, Dierks Bentley, Keith Anderson, and, of course, Halfway to Hazard were some of the performers for the concert on Saturday. Over $200,000 was raised by the more than 25,000 that attended.

As of 1/19/2010, it was announced David would be taking some personal time off from the duo and all performances/appearances were indefinitely postponed. It is not known what the future of H2H will be, though Chad assured fans on his Facebook page that he and David will reevaluate things in a few months and see where they stand. Read more on Last.fm.
