What Other People See Lyrics

This world keeps on turning,
Like so many different wheels on the road.
And time goes by so slowly.
And I don't really know just what to do.So, I stand alone and watch the crowd.
I don't say a word and they don't bother me.
And I just might sound like some old fool,
But I'd like to know what other people see.I thought I had the answers,
Like so many blocked out squares on the page.
And all my failed romances
Come rushing back to me in this way.Still, I stand alone and watch the crowd.
I don't say a word and they don't bother me.
And I just might sound like some old fool,
But I'd like to know what people see in me.

Wazmo Nariz was an eccentric creative force on the Chicago new wave scene in the mid-70's. His sound was pre-Devo wild guitar and synth robotics. He always wore two neck ties- no one knows why. He seemed normal in every way until he took the stage, where his convulsive singing and stage antics could only be described as what one would imagine if James Brown was getting electric shock treatments while performing Cold Sweat. He hosted the IRS Records excellent TV show The Cutting Edge in the 80's.
