Your Charms Lyrics

You always seem to laugh for every photograph
If I didn't know you better
I'd say you were flirting with the males
Because, oh, it never fails to make them stare, etc.But the ploys of womankind
Could not be further from your mind that's never your intention
So I'm always amused whenever you are left confused
It being center of attentionAnd darling, I just can't think clearly
It happens when I'm in your arms
And my heart is pounding, how pathetic is this sounding?
I'm unquestionably, captivated by your charms
And the way you thrill me, I think I always will beNow you're tossing back your hair
And you're completely unaware of how they're drooling over you
And it is no coincidence, yes, it's your very innocence
That makes them act the way they doAnd darling, I just can't think clearly
It happens when I'm in your arms
And my heart is pounding, how pathetic is this sounding?
I'm unquestionably, captivated by your charms
And the way you thrill me, I think I always will beI just can't think clearly

It happens when I'm in your arms
And my heart is pounding, how pathetic is this sounding?
I'm unquestionably, captivated by your charms
And the way you thrill me, I think I always will be

Cinerama from Leeds, UK started life as a duo in 1997, The Wedding Present's David Gedge and his girlfriend Sally Murrell, together with a shifting line-up of collaborators. 1998's Va Va Voom "turbo-driven melodies and bittersweet vignettes taking in everything from John Barry to the Zombies" (The Times) featured The Church's Marty Willson-Piper and Emma Pollock from The Delgados. Then later in 1998, Gedge rescued the rhythm section of the disbanded Goya Dress ([Terry de Castro and Simon Pearson) and combined them with Wedding Present guitarist Simon Cleave.
