Back From The Dead Lyrics

I've been left for dead here
A thousand miles from home
With a hole in my chest right here
And a bullet in my done oh no
Feels like I lost my life
Guess I played the game so I paid the price
But it was cold at it the way you left me here
Now I've the leaving dead guy since you disappeared
And I know we both made mistakes
Sometimes that's just what it takes
Still I just can't let you go
[Chorus]
Just call out my name (and I'll find you)
No matter what's in the way (I'll remind you)
Nothing can stop me don't care what they said

Girl if you need me I'm coming back from the dead
It feels like I'm stranded nowhere else to go
It's worse than I imagined a life without a soul
Since you blew past I took my last breath
I guess nothing last maybe not even death
But that was cold hearted the way you played your part
Now I'm the living dead guy since you took my heart
And I know we both made mistakes
Sometimes that's just what it takes
Still I just can't let you go
[Chorus]
So I'm laying here 6 feet deep in the ground
Ever since you left you're you're you're not around
But it just ain't living without you by my side
'Cause only your love can bring me back to life
[Chorus: x2]

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
