Storybook Life Lyrics

Said to myself, "I'm the man I got a pocket full of money"
Cert's in my mouth in case my breath gets kinda funky
I saw this hottie staring right at me she kinda looks like
That chick that did that video with Tommy Lee
Oh man, is she coming over? I gotta
Get this show on the road yea, yea, yea
She said, "Where have I seen you before
And if you didn't like that, well, I got about 20 more
I need a mack diggedy daddy, ta take me out in his caddy
And we can kick it till the briggedy briggedy break a dawn"
I said, "It sounds like fun, but I ain't widdit"
But if you're a good boy I just might let you
Hold my hand because I ain't about the wham bam
Thank you ma'am, I hope ya understand that
I don't want Britney tonight and Salma, yea, she's alright
I've seen Buffy and she don't slay me
'Cause baby, you're just the type stay up and talk to all night
Would you be the star in my storybook life?

In my storybook life
Yeah, I drove her home and she was feeling kinda frisky
I told her nighty night and then she asked if she could kiss me
She said, "Don't you wanna spend the night?"
And then she bit me on the ear I felt like I was in a Tyson fight
Oh God, she's losin' control now, so I said
"I just want someone to hold, yea, yea, yea"
Mariah, she ain't for me that brunette on V.I.P.
She don't hold a candle to you
'Cause baby, you're just the type stay up and talk to all night
Would you be the star in my storybook life
Oh, baby, you're just the type I can talk to all night
Be the star in my storybook life
Sabrina, Felicity, Meg Ryan, I won't lose sleep
You can keep your Halle Berry
'Cause baby, you're just the type for this show's Mrs. Right
You can be the star in my storybook life
In my storybook life, this is my storybook life

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
