Bittersweet Sublime Lyrics

Guess, you had to leave the old for something new
But don't apologize 'cause I realize
You had to do what you had to do
I feel like something's going on but how can I be sure?I can hear the lies materialize as I visualize
You lying on the bathroom floor
You see a figure walk across the room
And then you close the door, you close the doorYou had to be free of me to get your thrill
But I hate to be the one to spoil your fun
But honey, fun don't pay the billsYou got me spinning 'round like I'm a revolving door
Don't it ever cross his mind who's on the other line
As you lay upon your bathroom floorThe pain is bittersweet yet, so sublime
It's getting hear the end can we rewind?
Your love is bittersweet yet, so sublime
Sweet sublimeCan't you see my mellow's paper-thin?
And since the way I spend my days and nights inside
The cell you've gone and left me in
But you tell me that you never lock the doorDon't you find it kind of odd how you play God
Right there while you're on your bathroom floor? The pain is bittersweet yet, so sublime

It's getting near the end can we rewind?
Your love is bittersweet yet, so sublime
Sweet sublimeThe pain is bittersweet yet, so sublime
It's getting near the end can we rewind?
Your love is bittersweet yet, so sublime
Sweet sublime, sweet sublimeThe pain is bittersweet yet, so sublime
It's getting near the end can we rewind?
Your love is bittersweet yet, so sublime
Sweet sublime, sweet sublime, sweet sublimeThe pain is bittersweet yet, so sublime
It's getting near the end can we rewind?
Your love is bittersweet yet, so sublime
Sweet sublime, sweet sublime, sweet sublimeThe pain is bittersweet yet, so sublime
It's getting near the end can we rewind?
Your love is bittersweet yet, so sublime
Sweet sublime, sweet sublime

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
