Brother My Brother Lyrics

Brother, my brother, tell me what are fighting for
We've got to end this war, we should love one another
Oh, can't we just pretend, this war never began
We can try, brother, my brother, yeahWe face each other from different sides
The anger burns can't remember why
It's kind of crazy to cause so much pain
Our foolish pride makes us hate this wayWe watch our world fall apart
Tell me what good is winning
When you lose your heartBrother, my brother, tell me what are fighting for
Isn't life worth so much more? We should love one another
Oh, can't we just pretend, this war never began
Tell me why, brother, my brotherYes
We can try
Brother my brother
YesLet's take a moment and look deep inside
And say we'll learn to give love a try
When matters differ as we seem to be
There's so much more to me than what you seeYou don't have to be this way

Think about the consequences
Then turn around and walk awayBrother, my brother, tell me what are fighting for
Isn't life worth so much more, we should love one another
Oh, can't we just pretend, this war never began
Tell me why, brother, my brother, yeahTell me why, brother, my brother
Brother, my brother
Brother, my brother
Brother, my brother

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
