Call to Arms and Legs Lyrics

The time has come to rise up shouting
The world is dying and it needs our help
Let's stop the cars that keep on spouting
And turn to our bodies and make them wellConsumer crazied crowds keep on buying
Pieces of an earth that's going fast
What I'm saying is you better start trying
Your arms and legs because they've got to lastIt's not too long til the gas is gone
And pure water is all dried up
Then we won't be the only ones
Cryin' in our empty cupWhat I'm saying is pretty clear
It's a record of total abuse
You better stop preaching and listen here
Your arms and legs are gonna get some useIt's a call to arms and legs
It's about time we quit foolin' around
It's a call to arms and legs
Better get'em ready, hear the bugle sound
(Repeat 2 more times)Better get'em ready, hear the bugle sound
Yeah

It's a call to arms and legs
It's about time we quit foolin' around
It's a call to arms and legs
Better get'em ready, hear the bugle sound
Whaaa
It's a call to arms and legs
It's about time we quit foolin' around

Head East was a hard rock quintet originally from south central Illinois, then Champaign, Illinois, USA. They released their first album, Flat as a Pancake, in 1974 on their own record label (Pyramid Records) selling all 5,000 records and 500 eight-tracks produced. A&M was impressed enough to sign the band and re-release the album in 1975 which went gold by 1978. Flat as a Pancake would remain their most popular album spawning two charting singles, the well-known anthem "Never Been Any Reason" and "Love Me tonight", both written by guitarist Mike Somerville.
