Love Me Tonight Lyrics

Drive 200 hundred miles
To a place I've never seen
One more bar, back to the car and
I'm gone before I know where I've been, yeahNow, I don't know where you come from
Probably never see your face again
It really don't matter what your name is
But its so nice to make another friendWell, I don't know, where you've been
And I don't know who you've had in
But I know you've got exactly
What I needIt don't mean too much to me
What you do or who you see
But I'll be leaving here at 3
So love me tonightWell I've been gone a long time
I really haven't been any place at all
A few more days, the same old ways
Where it really doesn't matter at all, noBut you could make the difference
In the way I feel today
We'll have some fun but I gotta run

If I'm gonna live I gotta playWell, I don't know, where you've been
And I don't know who you've had in
But I know you've got exactly
What I needIt don't mean too much to me
What you do or who you see
Well I'll be leaving here at 3
So love me tonight(Love me tonight)
Don't talk about tomorrow
(Love me tonight)
Don't feed me any sorrow
One nights all we got
Then I'm gone, yeah(Love me tonight)
Don't ever try to stop it
(Love me tonight)
I'll be gone before you know it
Maybe I'll be back, before too long(Love me tonight)
Don't talk about tomorrow
(Love me tonight)
Don't feed me any sorrow
One nights all we got
And then I'm gone, yeah(Love me tonight)
Don't ever try to stop it
(Love me tonight)
I'll be gone before you know it
Maybe I'll be back, before too longBut I don't know, where you've been
And I don't know who you've had in
But I know you've got exactly
What I needIt don't mean to much to me
What you do or who you see
I'll be leaving here at 3
So love me tonightWell I'll be leaving you and me
So love me tonight

Head East was a hard rock quintet originally from south central Illinois, then Champaign, Illinois, USA. They released their first album, Flat as a Pancake, in 1974 on their own record label (Pyramid Records) selling all 5,000 records and 500 eight-tracks produced. A&M was impressed enough to sign the band and re-release the album in 1975 which went gold by 1978. Flat as a Pancake would remain their most popular album spawning two charting singles, the well-known anthem "Never Been Any Reason" and "Love Me tonight", both written by guitarist Mike Somerville.
