Drink The Fear Lyrics

Carry what they say you'll need
Regardless of its weight
The orders from the high machine say
We must leave todayAnd the fathers in the war room
Picking out a place
We'll drop the bombs tomorrow
In the name of peaceMarry who they say you should
Don't give a thought to love
If you're white they're white
Black they're black
But this is how it's done hereAnd the mothers in the one place
He says that she should be
Cook it up, clean it out
Get ready for meDrink your fear, all is clear
Follow who they call your leader
Drink your fear, all is clear
Swallow what they say you shouldAnd if you're slowly fading
Find your mark, no mistaking

Let's see just how far you'll goAnd if you're suffocating
Kick them where they're creating
Shut up, pick your star
Make a wish, go too farAnd the father's in the war room
Picking out a place
We'll plant the mines tomorrow
In the name of peaceAnd the daughter's on the front line
Says that she should be
Move it up, push it back
Get ready for meDrink your fear, all is clear
Follow who they call your leader
Drink your fear, all is clear
Swallow
Follow

The Nixons were founded in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma by singer/guitarist Zac Maloy, guitarist Jesse Davis, bassist Ricky Brooks, and drummer Tye Robison. The group released their debut EP Six in 1992 (after a obscure self-titled album, probably released in 1990) on Dragon Street Records and replaced the original drummer with John Humphrey before releasing Halo in 1994 on Rainmaker label. This album features several songs also included in Foma, their first official full length record, released out in 1995 on MCA Records.
