Every Little Bit Of My Heart Lyrics

Gave you money, bought you things
Gave you lovin' without any strings
So when you left me, you could have left
A little bit of my heartTook you places, saw bright city lights
Make good lovin', ooh so many nights
But when you left me, you left
With every bit of my heartOoh, I know what you were lookin' for
I tried my best to please
With every whim that your heart desired
But it was not enough, you decided to leaveI called up your number, you're never there
You drive me crazy but you don't even care
Because you left me
You've taken every bit of my heartAnother night dressed in red
You couldn't care if I'm alive or dead
You keep me hangin'
With every bit of my heart, whoa oohI know what you're lookin' for
I tried my best to please
With every whim that your heart desired

But it was not enough, you decided to leaveOoh, when you were leavin', I just said goodbye
I tried everything I knew to change your mind
Maybe I'll see you again, another time
Until then you know where I can be foundOoh, I know what you were lookin' for
I tried my best to please
With every whim that your heart desired
But it was not enough, you decided to leaveGave you money, bought you things
Gave you lovin' without any strings
So when you left me, you could've left
A little bit of my heartTook you places, saw bright city lights
Made good lovin', ooh, so many nights
But still you left me and you left
With every bit of my heartOoh, I know what you were lookin' for
I tried my best to please
With every whim that your heart desired
But it was not enough, you decided to leaveOoh, I know what you were lookin' for
I tried my best to please
With every whim that your heart desired
But it was not enough, you decided to leave

Head East was a hard rock quintet originally from south central Illinois, then Champaign, Illinois, USA. They released their first album, Flat as a Pancake, in 1974 on their own record label (Pyramid Records) selling all 5,000 records and 500 eight-tracks produced. A&M was impressed enough to sign the band and re-release the album in 1975 which went gold by 1978. Flat as a Pancake would remain their most popular album spawning two charting singles, the well-known anthem "Never Been Any Reason" and "Love Me tonight", both written by guitarist Mike Somerville.
