Get Up and Enjoy Yourself Lyrics

Well, you say you're out for a good time
And you won't be happy with nothin' else
Well, tonight's the night for a party
But you know we can't do it for ourselvesOnly thing that I'm thinkin' is
It'd be better if you give us some help
So don't just sit there and fight it
Get up, get up and enjoy yourselfGet up, get up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourself
Get up, get up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourselfThere you are, bottle in hand
With some good gold in your pocket
You came prepared and the time is right
So get up and let's see if you got itSo get up, get up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourself
Get up, get up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourself'Cause I don't want you sittin' round, wonderin' what's goin' on
Cause I'm up here to entertain and that's the only game I play
So get yourself into the song and help yourself before we're gone

There's no time like now to get it up, yeahThere's no time like now to get it up, soGet up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourself
Get up, get up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourselfGet up, get up, get
Get up and enjoy yourself
Get up, get up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourselfGet up, get up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourself
Get up, get up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourselfGet up, get up, get
Get up and enjoy yourself
Get up, get up, get up
Get up and enjoy yourself

Head East was a hard rock quintet originally from south central Illinois, then Champaign, Illinois, USA. They released their first album, Flat as a Pancake, in 1974 on their own record label (Pyramid Records) selling all 5,000 records and 500 eight-tracks produced. A&M was impressed enough to sign the band and re-release the album in 1975 which went gold by 1978. Flat as a Pancake would remain their most popular album spawning two charting singles, the well-known anthem "Never Been Any Reason" and "Love Me tonight", both written by guitarist Mike Somerville.
