Guillotine Lyrics

Ten rocks falling
Twist the hair
Lock him up
Send your prayersEmblems colliding
Faith is sinking
Eyes wondering
Time ellipses awayI have struggled
And you have watched me fall
You just left me to stay flat on the ground
But it's my turn now
And I will set you straight tonightIn front of the eyes of death
You take your last breath
In front of my guillotine
Look down, hold sharply, and
Wish it happens quicklyScience slipping past my fingers
Welcome to level three
Next time it will be all me
Scalpel to your heart or your soulI have struggled

And you have watched me fall
You just left me to stay flat on the ground
But it's my turn now
And I will set you straight tonightIn front of the eyes of death
You take your last breath
In front of my guillotine
Look down, hold sharply, and
Wish it happens quicklyHaunted, Haunted,
Haunted, Bless their soulsIn front of the eyes of death
You take your last breath
In front of my guillotine
Look down, hold sharply, and
Wish it happens quickly

Singer/songwriter Michael Rider hailing as a “wonder boy from Richmond” releases the companion piece to early 2014’s “Hidden Treasure”. A less exuberant, introspective, un-mastered “Lost Language” is what Rider comes to deliver as the new title. The twenty-year-old songwriter travels back to his roots of home recordings to illustrate the old b-sides left unreleased from his debut album, 2011’s “Lighthouse”. The results are what listeners would call close to Kate Bush or Tori Amos: confessional, raw, and genuine.
