Lovely Lady Lyrics

Dear lovely lady
What has your mother taught to you?
To play sleepy time with the older folk?
Or to love with your heart and soul?
My love love love love-ly ladyDear mister master
What the hell have you been thinking?
To sleep with criminals in lost yards?
Or to pick yourself up back into one?
My love love love love-ly ladyPoor girl
Dumb girl
Sad girl
Lost girl
Rich girl
Whore girl
Pretty girl
Young girlDear Cinderella,
What did the devil play to you?
To stay in dirty dust with yourself

Or to fly on high with allegory mind
My love love love love-ly ladyPoor girl
Dumb girl
Sad girl
Lost girl
Rich girl
Whore girl
Pretty girl
Young girlI, I, am, am, your, your, lovely, lovely
I, I, am, am, your, your, lovely, ladyAnd she's wrapped in ivy
Wrapped in dust
Wrapped in steel
Wrapped in lust
Wrapped in metal
Wrapped in dirt
Wrapped in my out bloodPoor girl
Dumb girl
Sad girl
Lost girl
Rich girl
Whore girl
Pretty girl
Young girl

Singer/songwriter Michael Rider hailing as a “wonder boy from Richmond” releases the companion piece to early 2014’s “Hidden Treasure”. A less exuberant, introspective, un-mastered “Lost Language” is what Rider comes to deliver as the new title. The twenty-year-old songwriter travels back to his roots of home recordings to illustrate the old b-sides left unreleased from his debut album, 2011’s “Lighthouse”. The results are what listeners would call close to Kate Bush or Tori Amos: confessional, raw, and genuine.
