If She Couldn't Sleep Lyrics

As I lie awake in the other room
I could probably stay awake till noon time
So frustrating knowing what could be
What's even worse is she used to belong to meAs I toss and turn, there's nothing I can doBut if she couldn't sleep maybe we could make up
But I just can't seem to wake her up this time
Oh, no if she couldn't sleepI know she'd tell herself that she might need
A little time to stop her heart from bleeding
So like me, I wish she couldn't sleepEight A.M. and she's not at home
Stayed out all night wonder if she's all alone
Or with someone new, she won't even call
To ease my mind just to help me break the fallNow I'm feeling all the things I put her throughIf she couldn't sleep maybe we could make up
But I just can't seem to wake her up this time
Oh, no if she couldn't sleepI know she'd tell herself that she might need
A little time to stop her heart from bleeding
So like me, but I guess she's doing fine
Wonder if she knows she's on my mindBut if she couldn't sleep maybe we could make up
But I just can't seem to wake her up this time
Oh, no if she couldn't sleepI know she'd tell herself that she might need

A little time to stop her heart from bleeding
So like me, if she couldn't sleep like me
If she couldn't sleep, like me

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
