If You Were Mine Lyrics

I lay my weapons down
Won’t fight no more
Try to get you by my side
Though I have been in love before
They could never take my clouds away
Babe, if you were mine
I won’t hesitate at all
You just let me know
I’ll be the one to catch your fall
Anything you need
Don’t give me away
You make me so confused
The one I love loves someone else
Don’t stop the music, it feels good
It keeps my mind off me missing you
Keep the rain away
There is nothing for me here
Without you by my side

Cause babe if you were mine
I won’t hesitate at all
You just let me know
I’ll be the one to catch your fall
Anything you need
Don’t give me away
You make me so confused
The one I love loves someone else
Baby what’s it gonna be?
Is it gonna be her or me?
Tell me what I have to do
Cause I know that I’m good for you
And babe if you were mine
I won’t hesitate at all
You just let me know
I’ll be the one to catch your fall
Anything you need
Don’t give me away
You make me so confused
The one I love loves someone else
Babe, if you were mine
If you were mine
Babe, if you were mine
Babe, if you were mine
If you were mine

Blessid Union of Souls is an American rock band from Cincinnati that was formed in 1990 by Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current touring band members are singer Eliot Sloan (original member), bassist Tony Clark (original member), drummer Shaun Schaefer (Vinyltones), and guitarist Bryan Billhimer (Vinyltones). Two former touring members, keyboard and bassist C.P. Roth and drummer Eddie Hedges, left the band in 2002.

Some of the band's biggest hits include "I Believe," "Hey, Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)," "I Wanna Be There," and "Brother My Brother" which was used in the US release of the first Pokemon movie. Their debut album, "Home," was certified gold by the RIAA in 1995.

In 2000, several of the band's songs were scheduled for use during the production of a film entitled "Standing at the Edge of the Earth" by Fizzle Freak Productions. The film would have co-starred the band's bassist Tony Clark, as well as the rest of the band featured in prominent roles. The film's production was canceled in late 2000 early 2001 due to legal and financial issues.

In 2006, Jeff Pence headed a project in which the band contributed two tracks for "Clutch Hits," a CD that featured a variety of artists singing about the Cincinnati Reds. The songs were entitled "Play Ball" and "Me, Marty, Joe, Ted & Louise." The project was a fund raiser for the Reds Community Fund.
